Safeguarding in the Cranmer Group

The Cranmer Group takes Safeguarding seriously – ensuring that children, young people and vulnerable adults are kept safe whilst in our care is an integral part of our church life. All of our parishes within the Group have formally adopted and implemented The House of Bishops’ Safeguarding Policy, ‘Promoting a Safer Church’. Our safeguarding policy and practices are available here.

If you have any safeguarding concerns, please contact the Benefice Safeguarding Officer, Dr Amy Taylor, on 01949 358309, who would be very happy to discuss any matters with you.

We refer all safeguarding information to the Diocesan Safeguarding Team who can be contacted for advice via email safeguarding@southwell.anglican.org or by phone 01636 817200, or via the website Contact Safeguarding – Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham

If you have an immediate or emergency safeguarding concern, contact the Police on 999 or the statutory agency for a child or vulnerable adult in Nottinghamshire:
MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub), on 0300 500 8080.

Other out of hours contacts for Children & Adults are Nottinghamshire: 0300 456 4546; Nottingham City Council: 0115 876 1000; or Bawtry: 01302 796 000
