A stone church with a tall steeple and a clock, surrounded by gravestones, under a clear blue sky.

St John of Beverley, Whatton

St John of Beverley Church has been the centre of the village since the 12th century.  It is a Grade II* listed building extensively redeveloped in the 14th and 19th centuries.  Archbishop Thomas Cranmer worshipped here as a boy and our Lady Chapel is dedicated to him.  We hold a regular BCP Holy Communion service at 9am on the first Sunday of each month.  We also hold additional services for Christmas, Easter and Harvest Festival.
